What Your Donation Covers

Your donation primarily covers:

  • Food: GRO shares one meal a day as a community to provide feedback, reflect, and plan for the next day
  • Lodging: GRO arranges all hotel/hostel stays to save money; delegates also share rooms with each other when possible
  • Transport: Use of public transportation and/or private charter according to price and convenience.
  • Support of Coordinators: From start to end, the coordinators provide guidance and support for all delegates
  • Emergency Support: GRO strongly believes in the safety and well-being of all delegates. Each delegate is provided with emergency contact information to share with family members before departure.
  • Supplies: Papers, pens, posters, etc. to use during workshops or to donate to the partnering school/organization.
  • Other: Use of interpreters, special guest speakers, donations to specific organization/schools for community service projects, supporting a portion of the foreign delegates’ food, lodging and transportation costs.

Secondary uses of your donation include:

  • Airfare (International and Domestic)
  • Visa and Visa extension fees
  • Airport Taxes
  • Immunizations/Vaccinations

Global Reach Out Initiative, Inc. is recognized by the Internal Revenue Service as a tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization (Federal Tax ID: 26-0161627). Written acknowledgement will be provided for a donation of $250 or more.
