Sharing your knowledge!

I would like to introduce myself, my name is Noppawan Thamsiriboon. I am
from Thailand. I joined with Global Reach Out (GRO) because I wanted to
learn and experience other country’s culture. I felt that I benefit being
part of GRO program because it gave me the opportunity to learn from
Guatemalan Deaf members’ experiences and their struggle in their home
country. American delegates and Guatemalan delegates shared and discussed
about their Sign Language issues for two hours. Guatemalan deaf people
needed to help developing Guatemala Sign Language, but their challenge is to
determine which sign language should be accepted in their own country.
American delegates gave different ideas how to solve problems within deaf
community such as Sing Language, interpreters, and publish Guatemala sign
language book. I was very glad to share my experience in Thailand with them.
Also I learned new thing from Guatemalan. I want to see them to take the
action to improve their deaf community in Guatemala for better in the
future.
If you readers have some ideas how to improve deaf community, please feel
free to share your knowledge and experience with us. Your ideas will help
them to develop a better deaf community in Guatemala.
