India — Winter 2008/2009
Postponed to summer '09 due to the terrorism in Mumbai.
Program Information
This winter, GRO will send a delegation to India for the second time. U.S. delegates will be traveling to Bangalore, India for a 17-day program from December 20, 2008 to January 7, 2009
GRO offers a peer-to-peer program that matches up American delegates with deaf Indians in Bangalore, India. The two groups will merge to share cultural experiences and issues within their respective Deaf communities. To get an idea of what the delegation will be like firsthand, please view our past delegates' blogs:
We also have a sampling of photos from both Mumbai and Bangalore in 2007:
Please note, especially for returning applicants, that this upcoming delegation will not be identical in structure as the last delegations were. Use our blogs and photos as inspiration only! If you have any questions, email us.

A special note for past GRO delegates: the Bangalore 2008/2009 delegation will provide you the opportunity to be involved at a different level than before, as we have done some remodeling to the program structure. We are especially focused on the sustainability of our newly created project ideas, which will benefit from your help and expertise. The challenges this new delegation offers will be incomparable!
