Lauren is a native of Rochester, New York. She attended Simmons College for her undergraduate education and received a Bachelors of Science in Biochemistry. Lauren now works at Harvard School of Public Health as a research assistant in the Department of Occupational Medicine and Epidemiology. Lauren plans to attend medical school to get her medical degree and ultimately would like to pursue a Masters in Public Health (MPH). Lauren is deeply interested in medicine, public health, nutrition and preventative health of minority populations. She hopes the GRO experience will help her see firsthand what the healthcare is like for the deaf community in India and ways in which she can make a difference. |
