A Kolkatan deaf, learned Indian Sign Language, West Bengal Sign Language, speak Bengali and English - with tantamount of lingustic skills, she learned about GRO through Uddami. Priyanka decided to join GRO so that she might be able to learn to work with other deaf people, spread more empowerment, and witness deaf individuals being on par with hearing individuals. Her mission is to learn to work with different delegates of different background, share cultures, expose what she has learned from her experience with GRO - especially that deaf people can improve their perspective of what it means to be deaf. |
