Bev Buchanan was born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada with deaf parents and 2 deaf older sisters. She attended a private school for girls and in 1981, enrolled in Gallaudet majoring in Biology (Bachelors) and Deaf Education (Masters- Mc Daniel College). Bev currently works as the Housing Operations Manager for Residence Life at Gallaudet University. Bev has traveled to over 45 countries, mostly work related, and has a strong passion for assisting special projects in developing countries. Hobbies include cycling and reading novels; her two wonderful children, Amanda and Joey, also add spice to her life. Bev is President for the United States Deaf Cycling Association and Canadian Club Advisor at Gallaudet University. As a GRO Board member, Bev looks forward to sharing experience for a better Deaf World. |
