Smitha Hanumantha was originally born in Bangalore, India, but moved to Virginia. After obtaining her B.A. degree in Applied Arts and Science from Rochester Institute of Technology, Smitha traveled with Global Youth Connect, where she realized her true calling of working with deaf youth in developing countries. Since the inception of GRO, she has served as the coordinator for the India Bangalore '07 trip, in addition to helping plan some of GRO's earliest delegations, and developing the content management of the website's look. Currently, she is working on her master's degree in Administration and Supervision from Gallaudet University. With a strong passion in project management and international development, Smitha has played an integral role to building the foundation of GRO. Over the years, she has continuously helped out with GRO in terms of providing support, creating new ideas, and seeking further challenges for GRO to undertake. In her spare time, she often seeks out the abyss of life because life is, after all, profound! |
