India - Trivandrum 2010
We are prepping for a new location: Trivandrum, India!
We will be working closely with a society called National Institute of Speech & Hearing (NISH). Wihin this society - recognized by the Government of Kerala - there are two available programs for the Deaf: a BS in Computer Science and a BFA in Fine Arts and boasting about 100 students with many in their 2nd year of the 4-year program.
Global Reach Out Initiative, Inc aspires to pair a group of carefully selected Indian students to work with our U.S. Delegates as they will together address the issues of Communication between students and teachers; Education Awareness within the Deaf and Hearing community; and Leadership development among one another.
With this powerful collaboration between the two organizations, be sure to pick up an application and join us in the deep south to meet these students, visit the society, and immerse yourself in the rich culture of South India!
